Soul Mates

Do you believe in soul mates? Do you believe that somewhere there’s person who makes you whole? If you ran into each other at a coffee shop or on the street—would you know her? Would you have the courage to put yourself out there—to risk it all for love?

Zane was sexually assaulted just days before her high school graduation—targeted because she was a lesbian. The horrific nature of that violation has left her unable to engage in intimate relationships. They were bullies and as far as she’s concerned, they destroyed her life.

When Jaina’s mother was incarcerated, she and her brother were placed in foster care. The years spent lingering in that system have left her battling lifelong issues of abandonment. Jaina trusts no one enough to risk being hurt again. Sex is fine, but relationships are out of the question.

When circumstances result in Jaina embarking on a search for her bio-family, her path will cross with Zane’s. Both recognize the other as a soul mate, but will their love be strong enough to overcome a lifetime of baggage?

For a Moments Indiscretion

Sequel to Soul Mates

With ten years of marriage under their belt, Zane and Jaina are coasting. The little things they used to do for one another have fallen by the wayside. They’ve gotten busy with life. They’ve forgotten to nurture their love and relationship. Even soul mates can stumble on hard times and have marital difficulties.

At 47, both are successful professionals. Jaina is an associate professor in a renowned school of social work. Zane is the pastor of a large congregation. They have two kids, one in juvenile detention, and the other anxious. When Zane joins the faculty of a seminary, in addition to her full-time job responsibilities, she’s short on time, and neglects Jaina.

Enter Amelia, a new faculty member in Jaina’s building. She’s new in town, young, and very pretty. She’s also not at all how she seems. Oh, and she’s very interested in Jaina. When an argument with Zane causes Jaina to storm out angry, she reaches out to Amelia. Of course, she seizes the opportunity. And for a moment of indiscretion, Jaina could lose everything.

Coming To Terms

Coming to Terms is a love story—and so much more. It’s a story of the impact of sexual abuse and addiction. It’s a story of the hunt for a serial rapist, turned murderer. It’s a story of forgiveness and family.

Sawyer James is a cop. It’s who she is and all she ever wanted to be. The job is all she has. Sawyer’s alone, not necessarily because she wants to be, but because horrors in her past have left her drifting in seething waters. To move forward into a fulfilling relationship, Sawyer must come to terms.

Sage Carson is a clinical social worker. She’s divorced and alone. Alone, is definitely preferable to being married. At almost forty, she comes to realize that her marital problems weren’t due to a lack of sexual desire, but rather, her lack of sexual desire for a man. Sage’s attraction to Sawyer is an awakening. To move forward, to not spend her life alone, Sage must come to terms—with her own sexuality and with Sawyer.

In their struggle—to love and to survive—Sage and Sawyer will risk everything.

Is everything enough?

Haunting Love

Anna Crestwood was raised in the strict beliefs of a religious sect nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. She’s a lesbian with a ton of baggage—fearful, guilty, and alone. Very few things would compel her to leave the familiar. The job offer of a lifetime is one of them. Against her better judgment, she packs up, and moves to Illinois. Unfortunately, she’s not there long before she’s convinced that the devil is hunting her down.

Gabe Garst is a police officer. She’s also a powerful medium. Her work with juvenile delinquents and ghosts is all that keeps her going. Inside she’s dead, certain that her capacity to love is buried six feet under. Talking with and seeing the dead has always come easily, and yet for some reason, she’s not able to communicate with her late wife. She’s grieving, depressed, and alone. Suicide seems like the best option. It’s just a matter of time.

Anna and Gabe’s paths cross. Their attraction is immediate, but they hold back until all hope seems lost. As good battles evil, two tortured souls must engage in a struggle to overcome demons of their own.

Change of Heart

Courtney Holloman is a woman at the top of her game. She’s successful, wealthy, and a highly sought after Washington lobbyist. At first glance, one might think that she has it all. She doesn’t. Not even close. She lives life in the fast lane without a moment to spare. She leaves no time to smell the roses. She’s consumed by work in a world of politics and power brokers. She has money, her job, booze, and nothing else. In quiet moments, against her will, her mind drifts back to her days in high school and to all that she gave up.

Jack Camdon is a complex woman, and yet not at all. She earns her living as an entomologist, has a passion for bees, and the environment. She’s an Ojibwe healer and someone who has a good grasp on the things that are most important. Jack is also a woman who has never moved beyond the sudden and unexplained departure of her high school sweetheart, her lover, and her soul mate.

When circumstances bring Courtney back to town two decades later, their paths will cross. Can high school sweethearts, apart for the entirety of their adult life, rekindle their flame that still burns hot? Or, will hurt feelings, shattered trust, and conflicting priorities destroy their second chance at l
